Mini Haul

So today I went to York with Annalee, originally our train got cancelled but the train before ours was delayed so while running to catch it in not appropriate footwear we managed to get on before it pulled out. We did visit alot of stores but i tried to restrict myself to a budget as i'm saving up for the ALEX chest of drawers from IKEA.
 H&M -£24.99
 H&M - £9.99

Iv'e being wanting the metallic sweater for ages and I finally decided to purchase it, the shoes were more of an impulse buy iv'e being wanting a new pair of flats for a while and the light pink ballet slippers from Topshop caught my eye but these are a more prettier compromise and I really do love them. I will do an in-depth review on the polishes later but the make-up products were purchased from zing a small beauty shop which sells discounted REVLON products and other bits and pieces in case you ever visit York.

Fotd

I usually wear one makeup look everyday and then change this look every 2 months or so to get the use out of my collection but i do wear different looks for going out to town or just going somewhere nice with friends.
I recently went to Sunderland a few days ago and didn't fully appreciate my make-up till I saw this photo, I do enjoy a vampy lip and when in need of looking older its the first thing I put on.
Product's used:
From the NAKED pallet I used the shades Naked for my base (I also used Urban Decay Eden primer but I fogot to include it), Buck in my crease and Darkhorse to deepen the outer corners. I normally just use concealer to hide any imperfections rather than sweating of foundation while dancing, mascara, liner and highlight are all in the correct areas and Mac prolong wear lip liner in kiss me quick was darkened with Kate Moss lipstick in shade 04. (Yes I bought another shade, I have a serious soft spot for these).

Dollar No7

Just thought I would update with a quick nail of the day, It was my cousins wedding today so I thought I would share the colour that I wore on my nails. Was originally going to show you an outfit of the day but it was such a long service that as soon as i got in the house it was pitch black outside and i just wanted to get into my pyjamas.

The first coat of this nail polish was very sheer, but on the second it was fully opaque, I then applied the gems onto my nails with nail glue and then covered them with a clear top coat. I'm not usually a fan of the gems on nails look, but since it was a special occasion I decided to go all out, plus I think it matched my bag. (The bag is from Accessorize, I bought it in the sale so i'm not sure if it's still available).
This polish is available from all large Boots stores and costs £7.00.

Kate Moss lipstick

When i saw thesse in Boots, i instantly wanted the whole collection but i restricted myself to the colours i thought i might wear the most. There are seven colours in the collection and they are all created by supermodel Kate Moss. The colours i got were shades number 01, 08 and 12.

As you can see my most used shade is 08 but that's because I'm trying to make it my replacement everyday colour as my MAC lipstick in Mocha is coming to the end of it life and until it gets re-promoted, I'm going to have to compromise. The lipsticks are very pigmented and very mouisturing, they are great quality for the price and I really do love them. A plus side is that they taste amazing (you know what I mean), and at £4.49 from Boots I can't think of a downside apart from the fact the product always finds a way into my teeth.
01 is by far my favourite colour, its a true red and I'm actually in love, I bought 08 as I just wanted to try a mauve pink and I do like the colour but I'm not one for a simple lip, 12 is a lovely coral orange and I only bought this to add some colour to my everyday outfits which consist of black Leigh jeans and some form of t shirt and jumper.
Overall I'm really impressed with this range and I think I'm going to pick up some more once I get the funding.

NAKED 2

As many Beauty fans may know last year the infamous NAKED  palette was released and I am one of the many people that can now not live without it. I do my everyday looks with it, it has become a necessaries to me and when I travel without it I do feel a little lost. But earlier this year Debenhams has recently released the follow up Naked 2 on their website. The palette itself is not available in stores yet, so I ordered mine online and I couldn't be happier.
The shades in this pallet differ from the NAKED palette as they have much more cooler undertones and are more darker. If I had to choose which one I preferred it would be the original Naked but I haven't warmed to this palette yet and I think once i work out some more secure looks I may change my mind.
The pallet comes with 12 shades, but since it has being released later in the UK than America I'm sure you've heard this before. My overall disappointment with the NAKED palettes is that they focus more on shimmer's and glitters and I'm more into matte shades, but I still love the selection and my favourite shades from this pallet are Foxy, tease, Verve and Suspect.
As well as the shadows the pallet comes with a double ended brush, which is very high quality and very useful if you just want to put this in your bag without having to add brushes which takes up more space. Also it comes with NAKED  lipgloss.

I love this little addition, I am normally the person that has lip gloss attached to her hair making it sticky for the rest of the day as its probably gale force winds outside. But i really like this gloss, Iv'e decided to only apply this when I'm indoors and in just gives a pink tint to the lips instead of full on colour.
Please ignore my face but on my right eye I have the latest NAKED 2 tutorial look done by Fashionita804 on YouTube. this was a quick attempt as I need to do my textile's coursework but the Naked pallet can be purchased on the Debenhams website for £36.00 I got 10% thanks to the Daily Mail I'm not sure if this offer is still on but check at the top of the website to make sure.

Shadows

As mentioned in previous posts Revlon one of my favourite brands of make-up I find their products reliable and reasonable in price. I won a Britain's next top model make-up give away a few months ago and I was given brushes, shadows, liner and gloss to recreate the smokey look seen on Jade during their ballet shoot. I then went a little Revlon obsessed and I have rediscovered my love of these single shadows.

Left to right: Rich sable, Nude slip, Black galaxy
Thesse swatches don't do the shadows justice I lost the picture of these packed on but I guess you can get a feel of how good the pigmentation of these are after just one touch. Personally my favourite colour is nude slip, its the perfect colour to blend out Black Galaxy and the texture is similar to a MAC veluxe pearl.

All single shadows retail for £5.29, they can be found in most drug stores and websites such as Boots.com

Vital Brights

Recently I went to Boot's to browse at the new No7 skincare range but then this new collection caught my eye. Brights and pastels is something that has become really quite popular for Spring. This new collection is focused on the Bright side of things but then Higher end make-up brands such as Lancome are coming out with pastel eye shadows and blushes. This collection is quite small but only two pieces really had me drawn to them.
The packaging is alot different to the permanent range, but this seems to a thing for most No7 collections. I do really like the packaging it's just being really obsessed with the way my collection looks I can't help thinking i would love the products so much more if it fit perfectly with my other No7 products (yes I am judging the make-up on looks sorry about that but since these products are amazing for once i'm not that bothered).
Top: Blush Bottom: Lipstick
The creme blush may seem intimidating but once used in small amounts and blended it gives the most amazing pink flush to your cheeks to just waken your face up. The lipstick is also of the scary nature but the lipstick itself is very moisturising as well as quite pigmented so I was careful to only apply the right amount.
I used it on my friend Kim while she modelled one of my Final pieces for Textiles, as you can see when used cautiously this colour is beautiful.
The products are by No7 a Boots own brand so the can be found online at Boots.com or any Boots stores. The products both cost £10.00
